Her dreams (poem)
For how long would the world stop her?
For how long would the world bind her?
Behold, she is no longer the victim of stereotypes
Now she is unstoppable
For a long time now,
the world has been grasping her wings
And tugging her feet
Making her feel low and unworthy
By confining her inside the kitchen
She waited for the world to listen to her
But every time she raised her voice,
the world suppressed it
Tuning the music of patriarchy
And convincing her that the four walls are her only limits
Like the darkest cloud fades away,
days cannot remain the same forever
For she has baked her dreams from the same kitchen
And frying out all her fears and insecurities
Has she tasted the nectar of freedom
For she has gathered all her scattered dreams
And has packed it into a bag, locking it with the everlasting courage
Her days as a caterpillar has come to an end
She is all ready with her wings, to fly, to soar high
